My Feet Hurt.

I was walking for about 8 hours on Halloween. No, I wasn't trick or treating I went "walkabout". As my australian friends would say. I wan't able to make the complete journey required that day by foot, but quick phone call (once phone was turned back on) to a friend and I was picked up 20 minutes later. I couldn't walk another step! My legs are so sore and I got a blister. I think I over did it when I was trying to walk over a mountain from Pomona to Covina. I have a little time to load up some pictures. I haven't been blogging lately, but hopefully I'll get myself back on track all around.

Hello. another hot day in Riverside California. I'm continuing to work hard to build a web presence and working on some graphics for my only client.

I made a quick lunch. Chicken Caesar salad. I added the dressing after i took this picture.

I got some fixtures down, now back to packing.

Some tools i'm using to dismantle things in the house...and more packing.

I'm selling a suede top poker table if anybody wants one. This is in my garage. I was packing up tiles that i had stacked in my garage to drop off at storage. You can see the front wheel of my 1982 corvette collector;s edition. i hope i wont have to sell that too.

It's still hot! 100F (37.7C)

I had to take my car the mechanic. It's having problems shifting gears. I'm really not used to waking up this early.

This is the view from my bed into my bathroom. I'm awake and it's still dark! 5am is a little too early for my taste, but today it's necessary for me to be up because I won't be able to drop my car off to the mechanic later.

I arrived at the mechanic's at about 6am, dropped off the bmw and started on my way back home. The shop is about 15 minutes from m house. It's always hard to find a good mechanic here that will treat you fairly. Most mechanics add extra charges, tell you problems your car doesn't have, or do things like changing your oil without changing the oil filter, so if you find a good one, stick with him.

On the way back home i stopped at my local AM PM for some gas and coffee. You can find lots of goodies in here just like your local convenience store. I never really buy anything here except coffee, candy bars, soda or the occasional magazine.

I'm not looking forward to having to take off the light fixtures in my house, but it needs to get done (or at least started today) I'm moving to Pomona later this month. The housing market here in Riverside is one of the worst in the United States. Las Vegas Nevada is also pretty bad.

Driving to the supermarket. It's still hot. 95F (35C)

Ralphs is the closest supermarket to my house. It's pretty big and very popular in Southern California.

This particular Ralphs is pretty clean, fully stocked and organized. it's open 24 hours a day. There is a Pharmacy in the back where you can call ahead to have your prescriptions filled. This pharmacy closes at 7pm, but here are some that are open 24 hours a day too.

The book section is full of generic beauty magazines with a few good auto tuner, tattoo, motorcycle and word puzzle magazines. some popular and romance novels can be found here as well.

There are 2 giant aisles of chips. Im standing about half way down this one. Decisions, decisions..

Aside from shopping carts or carrying baskets for your groceries, most large supermarkets here like Ralphs, Vons and Albertertsons provide electric carts for the elderly and handicapped. Although i mostly see them being used by people like this guy. This is a perfect example of obesity in the United States. I'm not sure if this helps obese people or if it enables them, shouldn't they at least walk a little to get their food? What do you think?

Back home just in time to make a quick lunch.

Now i'm back to wrapping, packing, taking down light fixtures and moving some furniture to the front of the house for easy removal once i get the U-Haul truck and some friends to help me.

I woke up today still feeling a little down. I went to Hollywood yesterday for a little while. i didnt walk around much, but i did manage to get a few snaps in.

Walking south on Cahuenga Blvd from the 101 Freeway you can see the north end marker of Hollywood.

The Capitol Records building...a pretty famous iconic building of Hollywood. This is now mostly recording studios and is being converted in to condos.

Ecco Ultra Lounge on Cahuenga Blvd. Amazing sound system, lots of fun LED lights and great sushi. I was formerly the day manager here, in charge of marketing, reservations, maintenance and all your basic daily requirements. . I also helped build this place. I do construction and interior design among a wide range of other things i've learned growing up. Next door to the right is the Beauty Bar. A small bar that actually cuts and styles hair while the party is going on. It's so small inside i wonder how people don't bump into the stylists while they are cutting hair! LoL

A front display @ the Foreplay store. They sell lots of sexy outfits for women. Its a favorite for girls during Halloween because of their large selection of sexy costumes.

I just read a post by Danny Choo that said he takes all his pictures using 16:9 aspect ratio. Im going to switch my camera to that setting. I really like the widescreen feel of his pictures.

The weather in Riverside has finally calmed down. It's been 105 degrees and above the past week. It's 85 degrees today and it feels like fall to me compared to the past hear wave.

I don't know why i decided to do this. I think i'm at a point where i'm just looking to share my thoughts, log in some memories for myself and hopefully help people get a little taste of my world and different places to visit if you ever visit my neck of the woods in California.. I have my camera battery charged so i guess today is a good a day as any to start my BBU (brain back up), via photos.

My new found inspiration comes from Danny Choo. We don't know each other (yet) and I'm not sure how to explain how i feel, but it's a good thing in a sad way.

Right now i'm sitting on my bed with a pile of laundry, my Blackberry and my Macbook. Currently i'm making money by playing poker online with occasional graphics work (mainly flyer design) and random DJ gigs. Im surviving, but i'm tired of survival mode. My mind is on a new M.O. (mode of operation). I'm going to be doing some marketing for Maximum Realty and try to finally get my new marketing company off the ground. You may not know this, but blogs are a great way to direct traffic to your website. My site is not up yet because i'm just starting the beginning of my marketing process, but it's under construction.
